I’m walking down the hall today, and I overhear a conversation between some PMs on my team and two other guys I don’t quite recognize. As I’m passing, I hear one of the guys has a kind of distinctive, slightly-scratchy voice. Sounds familiar…
One of the PMs makes some joke, and I, strategically placed and eavesdropping, laugh along and am invited in. One of the guys introduces himself as Chuck, and the other one turns around, and smiles.
“Scott Hanselman.”
(That was me, not him. I’m very articulate at times.)
So he asks me what I do, and I tell him, and he says,
“We should do an episode together.”
Come again?
Of course I say “yes”, not wanting to miss the opportunity. “You going to be busy later? I’ll stop by your office around 2pm and we can record it.”
And that is story of how, by sheer chance, I came to be interviewed by Scott Hanselman and will be on his podcast on Friday or sometime around then.
